Puyallup, Wash. (Nov. 10) – DM Recycling gears up for the annual Bike Build event on Dec. 12, where a crowd will join together to build bikes for local children to receive this holiday season.
With this year’s goal of raising $30,000, more bike parts can be purchased than ever before, leading to an estimated 500 local kids receiving a bike during the holidays. Once the necessary parts have been purchased, DM Recycling employees, their families and the community then work in unison to put each bike together and deliver to the children in the surrounding areas.
“Each year we’ve participated in the annual Bike Build, we’ve been impressed by the support we’ve received from the community,” said Mark Gingrich, District Manager, DM Recycling. “Our employees truly appreciate and enjoy giving back and making a difference in our community.”
While any and all donations will be accepted, the tentative deadline to receive donations in time to purchase the various bike parts is Nov. 15. All donations go directly to purchasing bike parts and need to be mailed to PO Box 532, Puyallup, WA, 98371.
